You are Lewis and Clarke, Davey Crocket, Daniel Boone and Fred Bear all rolled into one. That is You are perfect for This kind of parcel when seeking isolation. Cross the River with your SidexSide or take Halberg Rd to FR8643 entering an Off Grid World- Deep in the woods, surrounded by Ottawa National Forest Land. The only signs that anyone had been around is a dilapidated 1900's Utility Cabin from the early Forestry and Mining days. An Old 30's School bus used for storage and some discarded hootch bottles also adorn the site. The Trees are awesome. The Cover type is of Mixed Deciduous and Conifers. Just imagine Lewis & Clark probably chopped up some firewood nearby! There are rock out crops to make your observation stand for Deer, Snowshoe Hare and maybe a Bear. Grouse abound. There is a small slew to post in the NW portion for a duck or goose fly by. The Presque Isle River runs North just outside of the parcel along the East border in the Ottawa. Take your Kayak plus a rod! The Camp enjoyed drinking water from a yet active Artesian Well. The SE corner of the Forty is well marked (Yellow Bearing Tags can be seen) west side of Copp's Mine Rd and there are other indicators of survey marks. The Forty is about 41/2 miles North from Marenisco, 10 miles to Wakefield. This is a rare one- Come and feel the serenity.
